Herbs are classified by the U.S. government as "Dietary Supplements", and are not regulated as drugs. Certain statements can legally be made on a supplement label, such as "increases circulation", but other statements cannot be made, such as "alleviates asthma". Know what you´re reading. The claims that can be made are specific to the exact action of the effect of the herbal medicine on the body, and no claims of "cures" can legally be made, although there is proof that many herbs have such healing properties.
