Bearberry, also called Uva Ursi and Mountain Box, grows in
the cooler regions of North America, northern Europe, and northern Asia.
The leaf is used medicinally. Itīs bright red berries ripen in the fall and end up feeding birds and animals throughout the winter time.
Bearberry is used to treat urinary tract infections, mainly, and has been a
recommended treatment for this problem since at least the early 1800īs.
