How can I use herbs to freshen my carpets?

Herbal Carpet Fresh

1 cup lavender buds or your favorite fragrant dried herb
1 box baking soda or 2 cups Borax

Blend herb until powdery and combine with soda or Borax. Sprinkle liberally on dry carpet. Wait 15 minutes then vacuum.
